Why you will need to find specific restaurant investors to fund your restaurant. When starting a new restaurant, whether its a small family dinner to a large chain of restaurants finding restaurant investors will be the key to opening your doors. Many businesses fail during their first year in business and in the restaurant business they seem to fail twice as fast. That is one of the main reasons that you need to find an investor that knows the industry.

Restaurant Investors tend to have knowledge that will guide you with your endeavor of opening your doors to your new restaurant. Many restaurant investors have seen it all when it comes to financing a restaurant. Look at what has happened in the past 4-5 years with the economy. When people loose their jobs, guess what. That's right they stop going out to eat. How many restaurants do you know that have closed their doors in the past few years? Many I'm sure.

With Restaurant Investors you will be able to pick their brain as to what has worked for successful restaurants they have funded in the past. Find out how they financed the restaurant and what terms they now offer. The terms may be a little steep right now because of the economy, however you can still put together a good package. Restaurant investors are not your typical investor as they have to know the ins and outs of the industry. They may have owned restaurants in the past and with their knowledge they are very comfortable investing in new restaurants.

Where to find Restaurant Investors

You can find your restaurant investor if you really have your mind and heart set on opening a new restaurant or chain of restaurants. Most people will do a search on goolge and type in a term like find restaurant investors. Their search will generate results, however you really won't know who to contact or how to start contacting them. You may want to start with the National Restaurant Association. Once on their website there are many lnks to different topics. Here you will find information and topics about the restaurant industry. I would then go to the state level which you will find on their site. Find the state that you wish to open your restaurant in. Contact that office and ask them for help or guidence as to who may know of restaurant investors. It's much better to have a referral than calling on an investor with a cold dall.

A few of these ideas could help you find your restaurant investors or it could just tire you out. Start by searching your local area investment clubs. You may be able to find them online or check with business networking groups or even the chamber of commerce. If you find investors they will have good knowledge of the demographics in your area and they may be more willing to invest locally. Or maybe not. If this doesn't work then contact your local SCORE agency and talk with one of their consultants and see if they could point you in the right direction. There is also a new way to raise funds that you may wnat to check into if your searching for smaller amounts of capital such as up to $25,000. Search on google for crowd funding and you will bring up a list of new sites where you list your business and people will fund you if their interested. Be patient here though as this usually does not move to fast.
